How to Play Tongits

Tongits is played with a standard 52-card deck among 2 to 3 players. The goal is to meld all your cards into valid sets (three or more cards of the same rank) or runs (three or more sequential cards of the same suit) and be the first to empty your hand.

Each player starts with 12 cards (the dealer gets 13). On your turn, you draw one card and then discard one face-up. You can also "Burn" cards you've already melded. The game ends when a player declares "Tongits" (goes out), calls "Fight" (forces a showdown), or the draw pile runs out.

  • Valid melds: sets of 3+ same-rank cards, or runs of 3+ same-suit sequential cards
  • Player with the lowest unmelded card value wins a showdown
  • Tonging out immediately wins the hand regardless of card values
  • On nnph, the system automatically validates melds so no disputes

How to Play Baccarat

Baccarat is simple — you bet on either the Banker hand, the Player hand, or a Tie. Two hands are dealt and the one closest to 9 wins. Cards 2–9 are face value, Aces are 1, and 10s/face cards are 0. If the total exceeds 9, only the second digit counts.

Drawing rules are fixed and automatic — you don't make any decisions once bets are placed. This makes Baccarat one of the most beginner-friendly casino card games at nnph.

  • Banker bet: 1:1 payout (5% commission deducted)
  • Player bet: 1:1 payout, no commission
  • Tie bet: 8:1 payout (higher risk)
  • Best strategy: stick to Banker bets — it has the lowest house edge

How to Play Blackjack

The goal is to get a hand value closer to 21 than the dealer, without going over. You start with two cards and can choose to Hit (take another card), Stand (keep your hand), Double Down (double your bet and take one more card), or Split (if you have a pair).

Blackjack (an Ace + a 10-value card on your first two cards) typically pays 3:2. On nnph, basic strategy charts are allowed — using one can reduce the house edge to under 0.5%.

  • Number cards: face value | Face cards: 10 | Ace: 1 or 11
  • Always split Aces and 8s
  • Never take insurance — it increases the house edge
  • Double down on 11 when the dealer shows 2–10

How to Play Texas Hold'em Poker

Each player receives two private cards (hole cards). Five community cards are then dealt in three stages — the Flop (three cards), the Turn (one card), and the River (one card). The best five-card hand using any combination of your two hole cards and the five community cards wins.

Betting rounds occur before the Flop, after the Flop, after the Turn, and after the River. You can Fold, Check, Call, Raise, or go All-In at each stage.

  • Hand rankings (highest to lowest): Royal Flush → Straight Flush → Four of a Kind → Full House → Flush → Straight → Three of a Kind → Two Pair → One Pair → High Card
  • Position matters — acting last is a significant advantage
  • Starting hand selection is the foundation of solid poker strategy
  • nnph Poker tables range from micro-stakes (₱0.50/₱1) to mid-stakes (₱50/₱100)

Why Filipino Card Players Choose nnph

There's no shortage of online gaming platforms out there, but most of them feel like they were built for someone else. Generic interfaces, games that don't reflect what Filipinos actually enjoy, and payment methods that create unnecessary friction. nnph was built differently.

The card games section at nnph is curated specifically with Filipino players in mind. That means Tongits and Pusoy Dos sit right alongside Baccarat and Blackjack — because our players don't have to choose between their local classics and international casino games. Everything is in one place.

Playing on nnph means your account is denominated in Philippine Pesos from day one. No currency conversion, no confusing exchange rates. You deposit ₱500, you see ₱500 in your balance. You win ₱1,200, you withdraw ₱1,200 straight to your GCash wallet. It's that transparent.

The nnph platform is also built to be fully playable on mobile. Whether you're riding the jeepney or waiting in line at the palengke, the card games load fast, the touch controls are responsive, and your session stays stable even on a patchy connection. No downloads required — just open your browser and you're in.

Card Game Tips to Play Smarter at nnph

Winning consistently at card games takes more than luck. Whether you're grinding Tongits or studying Baccarat patterns, these tips will help you get more out of every session.

  • Start with games you know. If you grew up playing Tongits at home, that's your edge. Familiar mechanics mean better instincts. Use your existing knowledge before branching into unfamiliar games.
  • Use the free play mode first. Before betting real pesos on a new card game at nnph, spend time in demo mode. Understanding the interface and rules in a risk-free environment saves you money in the long run.
  • Stick to lower house edge bets. In Baccarat, the Banker bet carries the lowest house edge (~1.06%). Avoid Tie bets unless you're comfortable with variance. In Blackjack, learn basic strategy to reduce the house edge to below 0.5%.
  • Set session limits before you start. Decide your win target and loss limit before each session. When either is hit, stop. This is one of the most effective bankroll management habits a card player can build.
  • Don't chase losses. This is the most common mistake Filipino gamblers make. If your session isn't going well, log out and come back fresh. Chasing losses with bigger bets almost always leads to bigger losses.
  • Take advantage of nnph bonuses strategically. Welcome bonuses and reload promos extend your playing time. Read the wagering requirements carefully and use bonuses on high-RTP games like Blackjack to clear them efficiently.
  • Watch a few hands before joining live tables. Most live dealer tables on nnph allow you to observe before betting. Use this to read the pace, understand the dealer's style, and warm up to the game before committing chips.
